Finding Clarity in a Chaotic World

We are all going through so much.

Maybe it's trying to heal childhood hurts through therapy. Maybe it's constantly arguing with your spouse. Maybe it's dealing with health issues. Maybe it's the death of a friend or family member. Maybe it's trying to lose weight. Maybe it's being overwhelmed by clutter. Maybe it's fighting an addiction in yourself or a loved one. Maybe it's just being tired all day every day. Maybe it's sleepless nights because of anxiety. Maybe it's financial struggles.

We all got stuff.

In this chaotic, uncertain, often ugly world, it's vital to live with intention. By intention I mean trying to be a better version of yourself than you were yesterday. It means being honest with YOURSELF about where you are mentally, physically, and emotionally. It means being conscious about your body, your thoughts, and your feelings. It means connecting with yourself, what you need, and what you want.

It's also important to breath. Yes, just BREATHE. Have you ever just focused on your breath? This is meditation at it's basic function. Try it the next time you're upset. 5 deep breaths. It dumps your adrenaline and calms you down. It helps you focus. It helps you stay in the moment.

In addition, you should seek moments of true human connection. Eye contact, active listening, not trying to solve a problem or give advice. In return, speak from a place of honesty and authenticity about your own life.

I am constantly striving for moments of clarity in my day. Moments of silence when I can hear God. Moments when the realization of nature's exquisite and delicate beauty makes me weep. Moments when I buzz with creativity. Moments when my heart is exploding with love and gratitude.

Every day. In all circumstances.

Life truly is full of joy when you take a moment of clarity and turn it into a practice of becoming better, learning, discovering, and finding miracles all around you.
